Over the years, the Internet has grown to enormous proportions. On the web, one can find just about anything—people, places, things—and everything in between.

My first experience with the web came about 13 or 14 years ago, when the company for which I worked began using it as part of their research efforts. Little did I know that it would become such a big part of our culture today. Once the initial fear of the intricacies and newness wore off, I began to enjoy being able to get answers to questions that normally would have taken hours to find. These days, I use the Internet as the powerful information-gathering tool that is, reading product reviews (Amazon.com is great, and the reviews are free!), researching items to purchase, checking weather (The Weather Channel), ordering books and other merchandise, and even checking local and other travel information (i.e., BART or 511.org).
